Well, that didn’t last very long did it?
Can’t say we’re surprised, but we can say we’re disappointed.
It was just announced that Anderson Cooper‘s run as daytime’s most sophisticated Vanderbilt talk show host has come to an end, as Warner Bros. will not be renewing Anderson Live for a third season.
While it’s true that the CNN heavyweight never did find his niche with viewers, there was an evident revamp going into season two that showed some promise. Unfortunately, it just didn’t pay off.
In a statement about his show coming to an end, Anderson reminisced:
I am very proud of the work that our terrific staff has put into launching and sustaining our show for two seasons. I am also grateful to Telepictures for giving me the opportunity, and indebted to viewers, who have responded so positively. I look forward to doing more great shows this season, and though I’m sorry we won’t be continuing, I have truly enjoyed it.
It was fun while it lasted. At least this wasn’t you’re only gig!
T.V. would be a sad, sad place without our favorite Silver Fox!
