Anderson Debuts To Less-Than-Fantastic Ratings

Stay positive, Anderson!

Despite landing some big name guests and covering some major stories, Anderson Cooper’s new daytime talk show did NOT have a stellar debut.

Anderson averaged 1.1/3 in households, and he struggled with fighting against coverage of the U.S. Open men’s tennis championship in markets such as New York and Boston.

Cooper’s new talk show landed a 0.6/3 rating in women 25-54, which brought it to the #1 spot for its timeslot in markets including, Dallas, Washington, D.C., and Orlando.

Not TERRIBLE, but not GREAT either, given the fact that the Ellen season premiere average a 2.6 rating among households, and a 1.5 rating in women 25-54.

This wasn’t the phenomenal opening that we were hoping Anderson would achieve, but who knows? Maybe he’ll do better as the week progresses!

Did U tune in for the series premiere of Anderson? Do U think its ratings will go up???
