Anderson Cooper recently sat down with the Beverly Hills Housewives for his new talk show Anderson and opened up about his own brother’s suicide while discussing motives as to why Russell Armstrong recently killed himself.
He was surprised that the ladies came on to his show, saying that they were booked months ago, before the suicide. Assuring his fans that talking with the women was not a “ratings-grabber,” the conversation of course turned to Russell.
Anderson said:
“You can├óΓé¼Γäót put yourself in someone else├óΓé¼Γäós mind, a mind that is not acting rationally or not thinking rationally.
I think there’s other aspects to Russell’s life which really weren’t talked about on the show at all, but are clearly a part of what happened. I think his business life was in disarray, he was deeply in debt, he was being sued, he had already pleaded guilty to fraud charges years ago.
I think it├óΓé¼Γäós telling his business partner committed suicide the following day. So, I have no idea what was going on in his business life, but it certainly seems, the fact that his business partner committed suicide the next day, would certainly point to something in his business life not going well.”
Speaking about the suicide lead Anderson into opening up about his own brother’s death. His brother Carter died at the age of 23 when he jumped from a 14th floor terrace of a New York City penthouse.
“I had a brother that committed suicide and that was more than twenty years ago and I├óΓé¼Γäóm still trying to figure out why he committed suicide. I think anyone who survives suicide, that├óΓé¼Γäós one of the horrible things about it, you can├óΓé¼Γäót pinpoint one thing necessarily always that did it.”
This is probably the most rational thing we’ve read when trying to justify why Russell Armstrong committed suicide. It’s something that we will never completely figure out, which we’re sure is what makes it so difficult for Taylor and his family.
