The Brady Bunch wasn’t just a big family on screen, but off screen too!
So it’s no wonder the death of Ann B. Davis is hitting former co-stars Florence Henderson and Barry Williams harder than the football that broke Marcia’s nose.
The mother of the iconic TV family tweeted:
I'm so shocked & saddened to learn my dear friend & colleague Ann B Davis died today.I spoke with her a few months ago & she was doing great

We’re shocked too, Florence!
In the wake of her shocking passing following a fall, Barry recalled his favorite memories working with the famous faux housekeeper.
Barry said:
“When she came on our set she was already a big star, having won a couple of Emmys. So I knew even as a young teenager she was someone I wanted to pay attention to. She turned and stopped the rehearsal ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ I guess I was interrupting her rhythm ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and said, ├óΓé¼╦£Barry, comedy is not funny!├óΓé¼Γäó And I was crushed. I thought I├óΓé¼Γäód disappointed her. Later I snuck over to her and I said, ├óΓé¼╦£What did you mean by ├óΓé¼╦£comedy is not funny?├óΓé¼Γäó And she said, ├óΓé¼╦£Oh, I was just kidding with you.├óΓé¼Γäó Which was her sense of humor. Most people think of her as a really wonderful cook. But she didn├óΓé¼Γäót even know how to make meatloaf!├óΓé¼┬¥
While we selfishly wish we had more time with her, we can at least mourn in peace knowing Ann lived a VERY full life.
We feel like we KNEW Ann as the bubbly and lovable Alice, so we can only imagine how painful this is for the people who knew her.
Our heaviest condolences.
