You’ll recall that several years ago, the lovely and talented Anne Hathaway was played for a fool by Italian businessman Raffaello Follieri.
He bestowed about her an abundance of marvelous jewelry, but it was soon discovered he was a crook and he’d stolen all his extravagant gifts! (It was like a moment right out of Dynasty!)
Anyway, these stolen jewels will now go up for auction later this month, with the profits used to compensate the victims of Follieri’s crimes.
Perhaps she’ll do a bit of bidding herself. We’re suer there must have been something she was attached to. Then again, who would want to be reminded of the embarrassment!
