People With Anorexia Fives Times More Likely To Die

Scary statistic.

A new study shows that people with anorexia nervosa are likely to die over a year-long period than people who are not suffering from an eating disorder.

As for people with bulimia, the statistics are also alarming in that they are twice as likely to die over the same period of time.

Anorexics suffer from such complications as heart disease, bone loss, kidneys, anemia and gastrointestinal problems.

In many cases, the disease is also linked to depression and other psychiatric disorders such as obsessive compulsive disorder, which has also been linked to a high number of suicides.

Terrifying thought. Anorexia and bulimia are two very serious diseases and should be treated with professional help.
