Ariana Grande is planning to step back from the spotlight for a while — while her mom is making sure she knows she’s surrounded by love.
After Ariana’s team announced the pop superstar will be distancing herself from public life following her Eternal Sunshine tour because of what they described as “endless, ongoing public scrutiny,” her mom Joan Grande just jumped into the comments on Instagram with a heartfelt reminder that she’s firmly in her daughter’s corner.

Reacting to Ariana’s latest Petal music video on Monday, Joan gushed:
“You are magnificent… and this video is incredible!!”
She wasn’t done there, either, adding:
“I love it and I love you more!!!”
The timing definitely caught fans’ attention. Joan’s supportive messages arrived as conversations about Ariana continue to swirl online, all tinged with controversy and social media uproar.
For now, no matter what’s up with the public perception of it all, it sure looks like Joan is making sure her daughter hears encouragement louder than the criticism.
