Ariana Grande is taking a step back from fame.
On Sunday, a representative for the Petal hitmaker told People she plans on “taking a step back from visibility” after wrapping up her Eternal Sunshine Tour next month amid “endless, ongoing scrutiny.”
“[Ariana] looks forward to finishing the tour and ending it on a high note, both healthily and happily, and then taking a much-deserved break from public-facing work and appearances, which has led to endless, ongoing public scrutiny.”
The rep noted that overall, “this tour has been a beautiful experience for her” and that “she loves her fans and has loved every minute of this tour so much.”

A source close to the Hate That I Made You Love Me singer went on to emphasize her health in a separate statement:
“She performs a very physical show, and there is a lot of athleticism involved. She performs healthily and successfully at a very high level night after night.”
The outlet also confirmed Ariana has dropped out of the West End revival of Sunday in the Park with George, a Stephen Sondheim play she was set to star in with Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey next summer. However, the source claimed she “cannot wait to support the brilliant team bringing this project to life.”
In 2023, the Bad Thing (Bunny Hop) singer addressed fan concern about her health in a candid TikTok:
“I think we should be gentler and less comfortable commenting on people’s bodies no matter what. If you think you’re saying something good or well-intentioned, whatever it is: healthy, unhealthy, big, small, this, that, sexy, not sexy, we should really work towards not doing that as much. There are ways to compliment someone — or to ignore something that you see that you don’t like — that I think we should help each other work towards. Just to aim towards being safer and keeping each other safer. There are many different kinds of beautiful. There are many different ways to look healthy and beautiful.”
The 33-year-old continued:
“You never know what someone is going through. So even if you are coming from a loving place and a caring place, that person probably is working on it or has a support system that they are working on it with, and you never know, so be gentle with each other and with yourselves.”
