Ariana Madix is honoring late executive producer James Barker.
As we previously reported, the Love Island USA producer passed away while filming Season 8 of the beloved reality show in Fiji. Peacock and ITV America confirmed to TMZ on Monday that James died last week “after suffering an unexpected medical emergency.” He was only 40 years old. How sad.

Despite the tragedy, the show must go on — but Love Island USA still took a few moments to pay tribute to James. Host Ariana alluded to his passing while emotionally addressing all the contestants after their challenge at the end of the episode, saying:
“None of us know how long we’ve got. For some that time can be cut way too short, so please cherish every moment.”
Our hearts break for the cast and crew. This must be so hard to continue working without James around. The episode then included a photo montage of the producer over the years, with the title card “For James,” featuring him at concerts, by the pool, and hanging out with friends. The tribute ended with the words, “We love you,” on the screen.
