In case you didn’t know, Kobe Bryant is the new celebrity face of Turkish Airlines, and not everyone is happy about it. Specifically, famed lawyer Mark Geragos (calls himself a “100% Armenian dude”) has denounced Kobe’s decision.
Many scholars argue that starting in 1915, Turks committed genocide and massacred millions of Armenians, and Geragos is saying that Kobe should back out due to those atrocities.
Said Geragos:
“Kobe, as a suite holder, life long Laker fan and 100% Armenian dude, what were you thinking? Kobe must be smoking something
Kobe should take their money and proclaim it was a Genocide. Kobe should also encourage Congress to vote on House Resolution 252 tomorrow declaring it a Genocide.”
Wowsa! Your move, Mr. Bryant.
