Artem Chigvintsev wants another shot.
The Dancing With The Stars pro may have been arrested on charges of domestic violence a few weeks ago up in Northern California’s Napa Valley, and now-estranged wife Nikki Garcia (formerly known professionally in the WWE as Nikki Bella) may have filed for divorce in the days after that incident. But since that time, the charges against the 42-year-old dancer have been dropped. And now, Artem wants to get right back together with Matteo Chigvintsev‘s momma.

According to a report published on Wednesday by Us Weekly, a source claims that Artem is now focused on reconciling with Nikki, moving past their divorce issues, and getting back together. The insider spelled it out as clearly as they possibly could, telling the mag:
“Artem has wanted to reconcile with Nikki. He doesn’t want the family to be divided, and [would love] to put this behind them.”
However…
Nikki ain’t down for all that! When asked whether Garcia was open to getting back with Chigvintsev following all the DV and divorce drama, the source claimed that she’s not up for it at all. Instead, that mole needed just five words to lay it all out there:
“Nikki wants to move forward.”
Womp, womp!
In the end, the insider also made it clear that the pro dancer “will respect her wishes and boundaries” and leave it at that if Nikki is not down for a reconciliation. Well, that’s good, we guess. At least for now, per the insider, Garcia and Chigvintsev are having “minimal communication” at this point while “they both want to do what’s best for them.” And for Matteo, too, no doubt.
FWIW, a second source also spoke to the mag for Wednesday’s report. That insider claimed that Nikki has been horrified this entire time about how public the entire incident has become:
“[Nikki] never wanted this to be public and has continued to ask for privacy for her and their son.”
It’s obviously a tricky and tenuous situation. And with such a young child involved, too! Ugh!
What do y’all make of these claims about Artem supposedly wanting to get back together with Nikki, tho? And her apparent complete lack of interest in that possibility? We’re a little skeptical about the whole thing if only because of all the restraining order filings that have been flying around recently. So… yeah.
