It takes a big person to admit that they were wrong!
So we’re glad to see Ashley Benson come out with an apology after making her unkind joke about Amanda Bynes on Instagram yesterday.
The Pretty Little Liars star took a selfie shot of her “Amanda Bynes look” and threw it up online for all to see. But her joke landed with a thud, since making fun of mental illness is never a laughing matter.
Ash then took to Twitter to explain why she snapped the controversial pic. Benson tweeted:
To clear up the whole Instagram thing, I had no idea what her situation was. Truly sorry if I offended anyone 😕

Amanda Bynes’s mental health struggles have had us worried all week. She needs help and she needs it NOW!
But what Mandy also needs is nothing but support! Taking jabs at her is just in poor taste!
Glad to see that Ashley gets that now!
