On Tuesday, Ashley Benson took to Instagram and revealed to fans that she’s considering wearing a “sexy” Cecil the Lion costume for Halloween.

Yikes. Benson making light of a beloved animal who was cruelly and illegally murdered is SEWWW not cute!
The actress casually captioned the offensive pic:
“Help! Can’t decide on my Halloween costume this year! What do you guys think of this Cecil the lion costume? @yandy#thanksyandy #halloweencostume”
Merp! The Pretty Little Liars star has since changed the copy for the photo to just a mention of a “lion costume.” Perhaps the snap was meant to be a joke?!
In fact, several fans have already criticized the blonde beauty on her IG account for the insensitive getup.
One user wrote:

Ouchie! However, some followers are choosing to stand by the controversial celeb.
Another fan shared:
