August Alsina Reacts To Jada Pinkett Smith Discussing Their 'Entanglement' On Red Table Talk

August Alsina has one more thing to say about that Red Table Talk episode about his entanglement with Jada Pinkett Smith.

August Alsina admitted he hasn’t watched the wildly controversial and meme-worthy Red Table Talk episode where Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith discuss his affair with the latter, but he still has some thoughts to get off his chest about it!

The 27-year-old singer recently interviewed with Vulture and explained his perspective on the headline-making “entanglement” with Jada and why he chose to speak out about it in the first place.

For starters, Alsina agrees with the unique term the 48-year-old mom and wife used to describe their relationship which transpired while she was on a break in her marriage. Describing it as an accurate reflection of their time together he said:

“If you look up the definition of ‘entanglement,’ it is a complex and difficult relationship. It was exactly that. I think it’s just the language that probably stuck out to people. But I definitely have to agree with it being an entanglement. It definitely was something complicated, a complicated dynamic.”

He acknowledged that some may put the Smiths “on a pedestal” or view them as “untouchable,” but according to him, speaking out about the affair had everything to clearing the “chatter” around him and Jada and defending his name:

“There would be people bringing how I looked to my attention. People looked at me as this problematic guy who was super reckless, like I’m pushing up on someone’s wife. I didn’t really like that. I didn’t like the sound of that, especially when it wasn’t the truth. I think because people didn’t have the truth, it allowed them to view me and my character a certain type of way.”

Hmm… what do U think, Perezcious readers? It’s a lot more direct than the lengthy and cryptic statement he previously shared about all of this over a week ago and he seems intent on setting the record straight. But wow, has he really not watched the sit-down yet? How can he seriously be okay with missing out on memes like this?

In all seriousness, wishing all parties the best as they move on from this messy chapter of their lives!
