If at first you don’t succeed try and try again and that’s exactly what Avril Lavigne is doing with her Abbey Dawn clothing line.
After almost 3 years with Kohl’s, the Canadian punk rocker is going out on her own and launching a complete junior’s collection in the spring of 2012.
The new and improved Abbey Dawn will include everything a punk rockette in trainingg could want: sportswear, denim, bathing suits, footwear, purses, dresses and activewear.
The mother effin’ princess is also testing the waters with her first menswear collection, which will no doubt be seen on the back of boyfriend Brody Jenner.
Until then, she’s starting small. On Friday the e-commerce site goes live and wholesale orders will begin in January.
Lavigne also says she’ll be releasing “mini collections” every month that includes new products and whatnot.
Kohl’s doen’t seem to be too upset about the split since Abbey Dawn was never on the level as Lauren Conrad‘s collection.
An analyst for the department store adds “It├óΓé¼Γäós not something that is dramatically important to the overall business”.
Ouch.
Avril’s new partner Blank Generation expects sales for the first year to be less than $20 million.
