A father in Florida was only temporarily banned from a skateboard park after he was caught on video kicking his son down a skateboard ramp, and the footage is awful to watch!
The Florida Department of Children and Families is looking into the incident that went down at Kona Skatepark in Jacksonville, Florida which has many people — including other parents — feeling very upset!
Here’s what father TJ Smith said:
“It kind of hits right here when you are a parent to see someone do that to a kid. That is somebody who got way too aggressive.”
That is putting it a bit mildly. Kicking your son, who is visibly frightened of going down the ramp, and causing him pain isn’t just aggressive — it’s messed the EFF up!!!
What boggles the mind is that none of the parents even mentioned anything to the father. It took a fellow skating kid to actually do that! Here’s what rad child skateboarder Stephens said:
“I asked him why is he doing this, and then he said ‘because he needs to learn’. I was like, ‘Pushing him down is not teaching him how to drop in.'”
Exactly!
It’s just teaching him that his father is a big bully!
Thankfully the boy wasn’t injured, and was SO brave that he immediately started to skate again, but it could’ve ended up much worse!
Like we mentioned before, the footage is a bit hard to watch all the way through, but it’s necessary to do so to understand the extent of our fury!
