Check out this video in which a ZSL Whipsnade Zoo staff member in Europe explains how they saved their new baby rhino Karamat, meaning “Miracle” in Nepalese, after its traumatizing birth.
The calf was born breeched, with its back legs coming out first, which left the little rhino unable to stand and it’s mother unable to properly care for it.
With the zoo staff’s help though, the rhino is looking good and is feeding and bonding with its mother.
Thank goodness because we can’t afford to lose anymore of the already endangered rhinoceros!
