Lauren Bushnell Reveals What She Believes Caused Her Split With Former Bachelor Ben Higgins!

Lauren Bushnell and Ben Higgins clearly made the right call when they called off their engagement.
As we previously reported, the Bachelor season 20 stars split up back in May after over a year together. While Lauren’s ex already dished about their “tough” breakup, it’s now Miz Bushnell’s turn to speak out about their heartbreaking end.

During a candid chat with People, the blonde reality TV starlet explained:

“At the end of the day, there was a lot of hurt and pain. It was a rocky road from the start. It just didn’t feel right anymore… I think Ben said this at some point, but there just wasn’t that joy that should be there and that was there at the beginning. It just slowly faded until the point it just wasn’t there anymore. I don’t why, but it just wasn’t. At that point, we were at a crossroads. We needed to make a decision.”

Very fair. And it sounds like the former flames REALLY gave it their all as she continued:

“Looking back, I wish I could be like, ├óΓé¼╦£That’s why it didn’t work out.’ But I think it was just a very abnormal situation and one that unfortunately ├óΓé¼┬ª I mean we tried. We went to couples counseling. We continued that after the show and I went to personal counseling.”

We mean, at the end of the day, both Lauren and Ben really tried to make things work. However, some things aren’t meant to last.
