Bachelor in Paradise alum Jade Roper Tolbert has officially been stripped of her DraftKings fantasy football win and $1 million cash prize.
The sports betting company’s decision comes weeks after it was announced they were looking into the reality TV starlet’s huge victory during its Millionaire Maker contest that took place on wild card weekend of the NFL playoffs. The investigation was launched after many online users accused the 33-year-old and her husband Tanner Tolbert of colluding together. Judging by this recent outcome, it appears those claims were proven true!

A quick refresher on those fan complaints: many argued that the two submitted 150 picks each with no overlap in their fantasy football lineups, which doubled their chance of winning the competition.
The official DraftKings website outlined several examples of illegal collusion and clearly denounces any form of group play or decision-making “designed to gain unfair advantage over others.” This applies to spouses, too!
While the company has not released the findings of their inquiry into the matter, they did share a statement about it on Twitter:

In full, their message reads:
“DraftKings has decided to update the standings for several contests. All customers affected by the updated standings will be notified directly. It is our general policy not to comment further on such matters.”
Additionally, the former runner-up in the contest is now listed as the $1 million prize winner.
Interesting how they don’t outright say the two cheated. Guess they don’t want to admit their organization got taken advantage of?? Who knows.
Either way, so much for all that “luck” the BiP couple supposedly had on their side…
We mean, not only are Jade and Tanner taking this public embarrassment, this just adds to the staggering amount of money they’ve lost playing the game to begin with! At $25 per entry, they reportedly spent a combined $7,500 to enter this particular contest. And now they have to give back every cent of that grand prize.
