Holy cow.
That was such an entertaining finale of The Bachelorette!!!
Going in to the final rose ceremony it was a little obvious that Andi Dorfman was going to pick Josh Murray. Still, runner-up Nick Viall managed to steal the show.
For those of you who haven’t seen the season, Nick V. won the first impression rose on night one, and had been the front-runner with the most dates for a majority of the time, but played the game a little too hard for Andi’s taste.
While Nick V. really played the game and fell in love with Andi, Josh was sort of just looking for a wife. But, in the end, Andi picked Josh, saying she had fallen in love with him the moment she laid eyes on him. Why Nick got the very first rose in the first place, then, was not addressed.
After a pair of failed attempts to talk to Andi after his elimination, Nick finally got his chance to tell her that he loved her on the reunion. But when Andi said that while she had a good relationship with him, she never really loved him, Nick retaliated in the best way possible.
A very defeated Nick looked to the ground and said:
” I guess the hard part for me is… if you weren’t in love with me, I’m just not sure why you made love with me?”
Mic drop.
That’s the single best line The Bachelor has ever produced!
After what seemed like three entire commercial breaks for Andi to, presumably, freak out that Nick told the entire world that they had sex whilst in the fantasy suite, Josh finally came on stage, acting as simple as ever.
We’re happy for Andi! She definitely picked a guy that won’t threaten her leadership abilities, that’s for sure.
