And yet somehow their butts remain slapless today! Sigh, the world is so turned around sometimes…
Yes, unfortunately it is true. Two of your favorite boy bands are facing a gruesome lawsuit.
On June 20, the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block graced Memphis, TN with their sexy presence at the Fedex Forum.
But while the fans were screaming their lungs out, an unlucky stagehand fell victim to an open manhole in the stage. Ouch!!
According to William Wesley Styron, there were no warning signs or cones put in place before he fell 13 feet, fracturing his skull in the process.
Requiring traumatic brain surgery, Styron stated he suffered seizures, convulsions, and a complete loss of consciousness. So now he’s suing the boy bands for $5M to go toward medical bills (and emotional rejuvenation)!
The boys deny the allegations, insisting William should have simply watched where he was going. Hmm… well, we don’t exactly know if the bands are to blame for this kind of problem. But there definitely should have been something of caution in place.
Wonder what Fedex King Fred Smith would say about this! He and his family live in Memphis (his daughter produced The Blind Side). And we’d be willing to bet they wouldn’t be too happy knowing shenanigans like this happen in the city’s jeweled arena — named after his legacy!!
