A Colorado woman became a Christmas vigilante after she claims her home security app caught another woman stealing a package from her doorstep.
As seen in a video shared on her Facebook, which begins after Renee Weber Abeyta (above, insert) discovered her package had gone missing, Abeyta dramatically pursues an unnamed woman down the streets of her neighborhood and demands that she return her crock pot cover.

After Abeyta threatens to call the police, the woman tells her to leave her alone and denies stealing anything — to which Abeyta responds:
“Yes you did. I saw you. Yes I did. Get your ass back here right now. You’re on tape. You’re in trouble. Now give it to me now. Why are you stealing stuff?”
When the woman claims she’s homeless, Abeyta coldly replies:
“I don’t give a s**t. You’re stealing s**t off my front porch… Now get over here now. Throw it down, and I’ll delete this.”
Abeyta ultimately got her wish. The woman slowed down and forked over what appears to be her home appliance cover.
According to local TV station KDVR, Abeyta was doing chores in her Lakewood home on December 19 when her home-security app told her that a person was outside her door. When she looked outside, she saw no package — only the woman she later cornered making a run for it.
She later said on GMA:
“I looked at my Ring videos, and I saw what happened. I thought, ‘No way is this happening to me.’ … I would have ran for as many miles as I had to to get my package.”
Based on the stamina in this video (below), we believe her.
Note: Always be cautious when engaging with strangers. While this incident seems to have had an okay outcome, you never know what could happen. Stay safe, everyone.
