Ugh! Just days after the amazing footage of our national bird hatching out of it’s shell was caught on camera, another has fallen victim to a disgusting crime.
Authorities have found a bald eagle shot and beheaded in northeast Louisiana and are offering a $2,000 reward for information about the crime.
The wildlife officials believe the bird was shot several days before it was discovered in a ditch on Sunday.
What a stupid and senseless crime. If convicted for killing or beheading an endangered bald eagle, the perpitrator can be fined up to $250,000 along with two years in prison.
We hope someone comes forward with information and justice gets served.
