Although Mayumi Heene, the mother of the Balloon Boy, was sentenced to 20 days in prison for her part in the balloon hoax, she will now only have to perform supervised community service for 10 weeks!
She originally received 4 years probation in addition to 20 years in jail. A soure reveals:
├óΓé¼┼ôIt was decided that because she had three young sons that she could do the supervised community service instead. This means that on Saturday and Sunday she will check in with the alternative sentencing unit and do the supervised community work between 8am and 5pm before being allowed to return home.”
The Heenes also got their fine reduced from $48,000 to $36,000.
