Ugh. Just when we thought we were rid of them.
You guys remember the Balloon Boy debacle, right? The Colorado family that pretended that their child had floated away in a silver helium balloon and caused a media circus, when he was in reality only hiding in the house?
Yeah, we had tried to forget about them, too, but the publicity seeking sneaks are back – and this time, they’re attempting to do some good!
According to Richard and Mayumi Heene‘s lawyer, the couple have sold the aforementioned balloon in an auction for $2,502, and the majority of the that will be going to Japanese earthquake and tsunami relief!
That’s good and all, but we just hope that they have paid off their $36,000 in restitution fees to the authorities who bent over backwards trying to save their child for no reason whatsoever!
Just saying!
