Last night, President Obama brought the congregation at the Human Rights Campaign’s 15th Annual National Dinner to it’s feet with his speech about furthering the rights of homosexuals in America. We encourage you to watch the video in full, but just to have an idea of the kind of commendable things he said at the podium, here is a taste. He said:
“Every single American — gay, straight, lesbian, bisexual, transgender — every single American deserves to be treated equally in the eyes of the law and in the eyes of our society. It’s a pretty simple proposition.”
It certainly is Mr. President. How sad that it is that it is taking this long to get the country on board with equality for all. Let’s just hope in the next four years, the right leader will take BIGGER strides towards making that dream a reality.
