Rumors have RAGED like the wildest of fires about Barbara Walters leaving The View — and ALL of TV — in 2014…
And ya’ll, the rumors are TRUE!
Babz has released a statement detailing her retirement plans, and yes, she IS quitting the biz next year. She will officially make the announcement on The View TODAY!
The iconic TV journalist shared:
“I am very happy with my decision and look forward to a wonderful and special year ahead both on The View and with ABC News. I created The View and am delighted it will last beyond my leaving it.
I do not want to appear on another program or climb another mountain. I want instead to sit on a sunny field and admire the very gifted women ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and OK, some men too ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ who will be taking my place.”
Awww, Babz!! SNIFF!
It makes us sad all day to hear this news, although goodness knows girl needs a little r&r after such a prolific career!
But now the question is…
WHO could possibly replace Barbara on The View?!
