Battle: Los Angeles Wins The Box Office Battle

Moviegoers were desperate for some sci-fi action this weekend.
Battle: Los Angeles topped the box office with $36 million, which is a strong opening for the Warner Bros. film.
Last week’s #1 movie Rango moved down to the number two spot and made an additional $23.1 million, earning a total of $68.7 million for two weekends.
Amanda Seyfried‘s Red Riding Hood didn’t do well, coming in number three with $14.1 million – well behind the film’s expectations.
Guess Twi-Hards didn’t come out to support Twilight director Catherine Hardwick.
Whomp whomp!
The Adjustment Bureau moved down to fourth place with $11.5 million, making the cumulative total to $38.5 million.
The biggest disappointment of the weekend was Disney‘s Mars Need Moms, which rounded out the top five. The movie only grossed $6.8 million in its opening weekend, however it cost $150 million to produce.
Ouch! That’s a huge loss!
We haven’t seen a Disney animated film do THIS bad. Yikes.
So…what did U see this weekend??
