Bear’s hate country music.
A bear found hibernating on Boulder Community Hospital property in Colorado was annoyed scared off when wildlife officials blasted country-western music!
Poor bear. His ears must still be hurting.
A plumber for the hospital found the bear Friday afternoon while fixing frozen pipes underneath one of the cottages that the hospital reserves for new out-of-state employees looking for permanent housing.
The plumber heard a growl and saw the bear cuddled up in a crawl space under the porch.
David Lontz, the nurse that lived in the residence, sounded relieved the music worked, saying:
“If that didn’t work, they were talking about relocating me rather than the bear. I was in agreement with that. I don’t agree with the bear having to be tranquilized. So I’m glad it worked out the way it did.”
A spokeswoman for the Colorado Division of Wildlife said they found the bear already awake and in good health, so they believe it will be easy for the animal to relocate for the rest of the winter.
