Bella Thorne has no filter. Literally.
On her social media, the Famous In Love star often shows fans closeup pics of her acne, her leg hair, and her nearly naked body from every conceivable angle.
And while it’s good *ahem* exposure, it’s also an important philosophy.

During an appearance on Barstool Radio‘s Chicks in the Office on SiriusXM Thursday, Bella explained how harmful it is to the fan AND the model when photos are doctored to the point of perfection.
She explained:
“It’s so upsetting when you take a photo of yourself and you try and think of every single way that you could be better. That’s a really, really depressing mindset. So when you spend all day in Facetune, making your waist smaller, making your hips bigger, and fixing your skin, and making your eyes slanted….and then you post that photo up and everyone is like, ‘Wow girl you look so beautiful, oh my god,’ and the whole entire time you’re just secretly dying inside because you’re like, ‘I had to do so much work to make myself look like this,’ when you don’t have to do any of that to begin with.”
If you follow Bella on Instagram or Snapchat, you know how she rolls — and you’ve probably seen the haters in the comments section too:
“I really try to be my most natural self. But it does get me in trouble, definitely. And people love to hate just to hate, and when you give them reasons to hate — like you have acne, or you’re outspoken or whatever — then they do and it is what it is.”
Yes! You have to be yourself, then people can take it or leave it — but those who love it love the REAL you!
