Benedict Cumberbatch has announced that he is officially engaged to his girlfriend, director, and actress Sophie Hunter!
So cute!

The incredibly secretive couple, which nobody knew about until around five months ago when they went to the French Open together, announced the engagement in the most old school way ever!
In the newspaper! LOLz!
The official announcement was in The Times (above) and it was as low-key as you can get!
Simply labeled as ‘Mr. B.T. Cumberbatch and Miss S.I. Hunter,’ it said:
‘The engagement is announced between Benedict, son of Wanda and Timothy Cumberbatch of London, and Sophie, daughter of Katherine Hunter of Edinburgh and Charles Hunter of London.’
How adorable is that?
We bet he did it in the newspaper so people wouldn’t notice the news, but you can’t escape our watchful eye, Benny!

But, now that they’re engaged, does this mean Sophie will be attending more carpets by his side?
