Losing a parent can be so tough.
For singer Beth Ditto, she’s revealed that after the loss of her dad this past summer, she used the pain from his death to write new music.
Even though she’s teamed up with producer Mark Ronson, the new album will unlikely sound like his usual upbeat tracks.
Admitting that her sadness seeped into her latest work, Beth described her new songs:
“That summer we were writing the album, my dad died. So there’s some pretty sad jams on there. They’re deep. These songs, they mean a lot to me, you know? It’s a bit of a bummer.”
Wow, this will be a whole new side to Beth. We’re definitely intrigued by this new deeper sound though.
We’re really looking forward to an emotional and honest album though.
