MORE Lies As Told By Bethenny Frankel! Skinnygirl NOT Sold For Tens Of Millions!

Get Maury in here with his handy-dandy lie detector. We’ve had enough of these shenanigans now! This woman is spouting off falsehoods left and right … allegedly.
By now you’ve probably heard about all the drama surrounding Bethenny Frankel’s Skinnygirl franchise. Well, the drama continues as it seems Bethenny LIED about how much $$$ she snagged up when she sold the franchise. She had told friends that the label went for a cool $120 million, but newly released financial statements from the company tell a very different story.
According to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission quarterly report form, Fortune Brands, Inc. actually acquired the business for no more than $8.1 million, a rather drastic difference in change! The company’s website states:

“In March 2011, we acquired the Skinnygirl ready-to-drink cocktail business. The acquisition included inventory and identifiable intangible assets. In addition to goodwill, we recorded contingent consideration, which is based on the achievement of certain sales targets. In future periods, the Company may be required to record contingent consideration in an amount not in excess of approximately $25 million. Any change in the Company├óΓé¼Γäós estimated liabilities for contingent consideration will impact operating income in future periods.”

Well, well. That settles it then. Caught in another lie, B!
Or maybe the other $112 million is floating on that boat lost at sea!
You know, this is all going to make for one entertaining season of your Bravo show. You might be a liar, but you’re going to make a killing from it! Clever girl!
