Oh no! Two of our favorite ladies are at odds! What are we to do???
The uber-talented and epic diva Bette Midler told British magazine that she’s unimpressed with the magic Lady GaGa creates.
To fair, she gives GaGalicous props for her “beautiful voice” and talented songwriting skills, but when she compares GaGa to her favorite artist, Grace Jones, Bette feels GaGa falls short. Bette was quoted as saying:
“She’s a terrific player, has a beautiful voice and is a good songwriter. The stuff around her? Nah, not so much. I have my heroines and one of them is Grace Jones, and I don’t think anyone could touch Grace.”
Sure, okay, fine. Maybe she can, maybe she can’t. Personally, we think you have to respect each of them for their own unique styles and bringing something different to art of music. Neither should be labeled better or worse than the other.
