The loss of literary legend Maya Angelou is affecting everyone, including Beyoncé.
The singing superstar was so moved by Maya’s death this morning that she shared her heartbreak via Instagram.
Along with a snap of the icon (above) and some breathtaking poetry (below), Bey wrote:
“Rest in peace phenomenal woman.”
A phenomenal woman, indeed.
And it is influential people like Beyonc├â┬⌐ who will help keep Maya’s brilliant words alive for generations to come.
Even though Maya is no longer with us, we are so grateful she left us with her thoughts permanently etched in print.
