It’s the day AFTER the Holidaze and Beyonc├â┬⌐ decides to give us ANOTHER huge present!
Queen Bey has gifted the world with Part 3 of her mini series called Self-Titled and in it she discusses how throughout the album, she was constantly trying to “rebel against perfection” and that her videos were created organically and not planned far in advance!
And they still turned out fierce as hell!
Among discussing her inspiration and the “run ‘n gun” aspect of her video shoots, she also dished on what it was like to record her hit, Drunk In Love, with hubby Jay Z.
Bey said:
“So there was this new producer, Details, and he had this really hard beat, and this song called Drunk and I’m like THAT’s what I wanna sing. I kind of free-styled the verse and Jay went in and he just started flowing out his verse. We just kinda had a party. And Timbaland, [mimics a DJ] pulled out his keys. It was so great because it wasn’t about any ego, it wasn’t about trying to make a hit record, we were just trying to have fun and I think you can hear that in the record.”
We TOTALLY agree with what Bey said, you can definitely hear the fun they’re having in the songs on the album!
She let go of all expectations of perfection and produced an AH-MAZE album!!
