According to Bilal Ahmed, his appearance was used in the Russell Crowe film, The Next Three Days, without his permission.
In the film, he claims his appearance is presented as a fugitive with the likes of Osama Bin Laden during the trailer and at least four times in the film.
Because of this “appropriation of name or likeness and publicity that places him in a false light,” Ahmed feels he is suffering unemployment as he believes many will not hire him due to what he feels is his new reputation.
Bilal is seeking $301,000 for his “impairment to future earning capacity, damage to his reputation, mental anguish and suffering, humiliation, and embarrassment.”
He’s even changed his hairstyle over all of it! Oh! That’s just awful. No, it should never come to that.
We haven’t seen his picture or the points in the film he’s referring to, but we gotta say, this better not just be another way to get money. People are suing movies for everything now. Ugh. So gross!
