They’ve faced some tragedy lately, but they’re not giving up.
Bill and Giuliana Rancic were met with some terrible news after they found out their surrogate had suffered a miscarriage.
Recently, Giuliana talked about how it felt when she first heard the extremely hard news, and how despite her sadness she had to get herself together for her surrogate Delphine.
Here’s what she said:
“It was just heartbreaking. I just started sobbing uncontrollably. But I had to get myself together for her. She’s really strong and amazing.”
Still, Giuliana and Bill face a tough battle as they have only one frozen embryo left, which means this next chance they have of having a baby may be their last.
Here’s what Giuliana said:
“We have one embryo left. I’m on cancer medication for a few more years. I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that I may never carry a child. With that said, this next embryo, there’s no guarantees. In that case, that’s it.”
Despite the long odds, Giuliana has a lot of optimism about this next and most likely final try.
She said:
“We’re fighters. Duke was a gift after a miscarriage. Delphine will be on board for one more try, so we’re certainly optimistic about the future and hope that we├óΓé¼Γäóre going to be able to give him a little brother or sister.”
We’ll be rooting for this terrifically inspiring family, and we certainly hope they are able to give their son Duke a little brother or sister.
If, however, they do not… well, we guess they’ll have to use all of that extra love and spoil the beautiful son they do have. Which probably wouldn’t be a bad thing at all.
Whatever happens – they’re still one awesome family. And no one can take that away from them!
