Wow! This is a big change in direction for him!
Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong started dabbling in acting when he appeared as St. Jimmy in his American Idiot musical, and now, it appears he’s worked his way up to a role on Showtime series Nurse Jackie, which stars Edie Falco in the title role!
According to executive producer Richie Jackson, production has just started on the fourth season, and the rocker is the show’s newest castmember!
He writes via Twitter:
“Edie and our new cast member @BJAOfficial! Wait til you see the season premiere!”
We suppose we’re going to have to, now!
We want to see how he does in the acting department! And if he’ll be taking on a more significant part than just ‘patient of the week!’
