Steve Irwin's Daughter Bindi's Mature New Look Means Less Khaki, More Tulle, & A Gush-Worthy Boyfriend!

Forget the khakis, Bindi Irwin‘s glammed up her look!
Steve Irwin‘s daughter looks like a budding fashionista in a black tulle dress and pork pie hat for her cover of Australia’s Telegraph Sunday Style magazine. LOVES it!
Though she may be known for being her dad’s mini-me, the starlet certainly enjoys experimenting with her look.
She shared:

“I want to try different styles. Khaki is a part of who I am, but it’s fun to get dressed up every now and then. Being a bit of a girl is always exciting. You can’t jump on a croc or climb a tree if you’re not in khaki, but I do like different clothes and playing around with it a bit.”

LOLz! Very true.

Nonetheless, this isn’t the first time the wildlife activist has shown off her girlier side. Fans were shocked and thrilled by one of the starlet’s recent selfies on Instagram where she donned dark liner and a bold lip!
She noted:

“I was amazed at how much it exploded — I didn’t expect that. I really didn’t ever post selfies before, but it occurred to me, after talking to some friends, how much pressure is put on young people to look and act a certain way. We’re all growing up and changing. I wanted to tell young girls — and boys — to stay true to who you are and not let anyone change you. You have to be able to accept yourself and know you’re gorgeous inside [and] out. It’s hard sometimes.”

Talk about inspirational! Well said, Bindi.
As the 17-year-old grows up before our eyes, it is no shock that she’s in a serious relationship with American athlete Chandler Powell.
She gushed:

“I was blessed to meet Chandler and his family back in November 2013. We remained in touch and stayed friends. Since then, our friendship has developed into something really special.”

Aww! In fact, this is the first time the brunette beauty’s talked about her relationship with the professional wakeboarder.
She continued:

“We’re connected, which is so great. He is passionate about wildlife and an extraordinary wakeboarder. We are excited to be achieving more conservation work together. I feel lucky to have him in my life.”

AH-Mazing! As their relationship is long distance we just have to say — thank goodness for Skype, right?!
However, it saddens us that her late father is unable to see what a beautiful young woman she’s grown into. Despite her loss, it appears that Bindi is navigating her teenage years with absolute grace.
She explained:

“You have good days and bad days. With the huge milestones in life, I think, ‘I wish he was here for this,’ but when you lose someone so close to you they never really leave. I’m very lucky and very happy. I look back over the past 17 years and think I’ve been privileged to have done so much. But my life journey is only just starting.”

How touching. Keep doing you, girl. We think you are SLAYING it right now.
