Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough have incredible chemistry on Dancing with the Stars, but could there be sparks flying off-stage, too?
We certainly doubt there’s anything romantic going on considering the daughter of the late Steve Irwin has a boyfriend, but you know that’s what people might wonder with them holding hands!
As you can see, Bindi and her DWTS partner Derek were spotted leaving rehearsals in LA on Tuesday acting VERY close with one another (above)! The two were linked as they were walking out the studio door, but that didn’t seem to last long after they left the gate.

Now, it seems unlikely that something more than platonic could be happening since the 17-year-old JUST gushed about her wakeboarder beau Chandler Powell during their red carpet debut on Monday.
And, you know, because she’s a minor and he’s 30.

Hmmmm. We’re thinking that maybe Derek and Bindi are so close because they’ve developed a sort of sibling bond during the reality competition.
After Monday night’s show, the professional dancer admitted that he’s been instructing Chandler on how to properly care for his girl after their grueling practices, saying:
“I give him, ‘All right, young man. You go home, you have her in bed by seven. Get the tea, get the ice — ice on, ice off, 20 minutes.’ Yeah, it’s like that.”
He also added:
“You know, I’ve got four sisters, now I’ve got five sisters here. I’m a protective brother, what can I say?”
