Florida Teen Escapes Black Bear Attack Alive With The Help Of Her Dog Ralph!

Incredible.
And yet so scary!
A Florida teenager only 15-years-old survived a black bear attack last Sunday in her hometown of Eastpoint, Florida, and Leah Reeder credits her dog Ralph for the reason she’s alive today!
The young lady was walking her dog when she says she was suddenly being attacked by the dangerous bear. She said:

“I was down on the ground, and ended up on my face. The bear was on my back biting me.”

Leah didn’t know what to do and instinctively decided to play dead which is when the bear backed off and then her pet dog Ralph sprung into action – barking at the much larger animal until it left the canine and his owner alone.
Leah Reeder walked the rest of the way home after the attack and her mother couldn’t believe what she saw.

The mother Sheri Mann said:

“She was conscious and pouring blood. She was very frightened. She was crying hysterically. It bit her face open, and beside her ear on her scalp. It was very, very bad.”

But after being taken to the hospital and undergoing surgery, Leah Reeder is expected to make a full recovery with little to few scars from the terrifying incident.
And Leah says her family is one of the main reasons she feels OK these days. She said:

“I’m fine. My family’s been here a lot for me.”

Undoubtedly, Leah must be including her dog Ralph when she mentions her family – proving that dog is most definitely not only a human’s best friend but also sometimes their savior!
Feel better, Leah!
