Blake Lively Gets REAL About Her Body After Pregnancy -- Everything 'Just Shifted And Changed'

There’s no denying Blake Lively is one of Hollywood’s most stunning beauties.
However, it’s taken a lot of hard work for the blonde to look this good — especially since she’s juggling a career and motherhood. In an interview with E! News, Ryan Reynolds‘ wife revealed she had to intensively train to get into shape following the birth of her child James as she was slated to film her new thriller, The Shallows.

As you may know, in The Shallows, Miz Lively plays a surfer who gets put through physical and emotional turmoil while fighting off a killer shark. So how EXACTLY did the Gossip Girl alum get so fit only eight months after giving birth?
The 28-year-old explained:

“I worked out with an amazing trainer Don Saladino. He kicked my butt. It was also eight months after having a baby so my body was already completely different than what it normally was. Not just aesthetically but also your muscles are different, your body, everything is just shifted and changed.”

In fact, the A-lister even hinted she wouldn’t have lost all of her baby weight if she didn’t have the film to train for. Lively added:

“It was really crazy. But it was also nice to have that motivation because I wouldn’t have done that. I wouldn’t have gotten in that kind of shape.”

Well that’s fair! Not to mention, Blake’s shooting schedule kept her pretty toned too as she continued:

“It was like training for a marathon, but a marathon is one day. This was six weeks straight, six-day weeks, no lunch breaks, thirteen-hour days, four-foot waves at all times. By the time I was done with the movie…I had muscles that I had never had before.”

Color us impressed! Although, Blake doesn’t have to worry about feeling guilty for indulging in treats anymore as she’s pregnant with her second child. She concluded:

“I do have a sweet tooth, but a good sweet tooth├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥not overly sweet, not saccharin. Like dark chocolate. I like salty and sweet.”

Girl, we get you. Here’s hoping the film star will have plenty of time to rest after this pregnancy — good luck!
