The E! network is trying to distance themselves from their new Ashton Kutcher-produced show.
They wanna avoid a costly lawsuit!
Ashton’s Pop Fiction is mired in controversy amidst new allegations that the show is based on a concept originally created by Anna Nicole Smith and Howard K. Stern, which they pitched to the network that aired their former reality show.
Stern was said to even follow up about it – with Larry Birkhead hosting – just a few months ago.
Now, Wednesday morning, the E! Network released the following statement:
“Pop Fiction is a program independently created and developed by Ashton Kutcher’s company, Katalyst. Pop Fiction is not based on any idea or concept that may have been pitched to E! by any other party.”

Can’t wait to hear Ashton’s statement!
