Late last month, we reported that Netflix shares were down 11.4%, and we had mentioned that Blockbuster might be a force to be reckoned with for the company in the near future.
Now, in a ballsy move by Blockbuster, they’ve sent out emails to former free trial members offering them ANOTHER free month in an effort to prove themselves as viable Netflix Qwikster Whateverflix competition!
Here’s the message from Blockbuster’s email, sent to us by a Perezcious reader:
“We’d love for you to try Blockbuster Total Access again and see all the improvements we’ve made. So for a limited time, you can get discounted rates on our most popular plans!
How have we improved? While Netflix raised prices by 60%, we’ve given all Total Access subscribers unlimited in-store exchanges. We’ve also increased our availability of new releases, and now include games as part of your subscription.
