Bob Barker Honored For Protection Of Animals

Bob Barker, former host of The Price is Right, has been awarded for caring for animals. He has been named an honorary fellow of the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics for his “exceptional contributions to the protection of animals.”

Bob is the first person in the entertainment industry who has been given this honor! Good for you Bob!

The award acknowledges Barker’s efforts to encourage the teaching of animal law at colleges and universities.

Since Bob’s desire to make animal law an important issue in schools, Harvard, Stanford, UCLA, Georgetown and Barker├óΓé¼Γäós alma mater Drury University, where he has endowed a chair in animal rights, teach animal law.

At the end of The Price is Right, Bob always used to say the phrase, “Help control the pet population. Have your pets spayed or neutered.” He has always cared for animals!
