Bob Dylan‘s “secret” daughter Desiree Dennis-Dylan will soon be getting married to her girlfriend Kayla Sampson, but the legendary papa is not expected to show up to the wedding!
But no one knows for sure, yet.
Here’s what Desiree’s soon-to-be-wife Kayla Sampson said:
“Of course we’re excited [for the wedding]├óΓé¼┬ª we can’t wait. We don’t know yet [if Bob Dylan will show]. We will have to see.”
But at least Kayla’s mother Jolene Sampson doesn’t think Mr. Dylan will show to walk his daughter down the aisle.
She said:
├óΓé¼┼ôOf course he├óΓé¼Γäós invited, but he├óΓé¼Γäós just not going to go. He didn├óΓé¼Γäót say that, but that├óΓé¼Γäós what we are assuming. It would be sad but he is really supportive and happy for her.”
Although she later added in an email:
“Some misinformation is about Bob attending the wedding. I have never met or spoken to him and have no idea of his opinion or ideas. We will only know the day of the wedding whether he will come or not, and that is not at all our focus for this celebration. Any opinion I had about his attending was pure speculation based on my own understanding of celebrity.”
We guess they didn’t want Bob Dylan’s absence from the wedding to hang over the day’s celebration because Bob’s daughter later released a statement that read:
“Our families are very supportive of our personal lives. No decisions have been made about a wedding. We want to keep matters affecting our families private and ask that you respect our wishes for privacy.”
Bob Dylan’s daughter Desi was born on January 31, 1986, but the singer managed to hide the fact that he was the father until one of his biographers released the information in a book about Bob Dylan fifteen years later.
Dylan and Desi’s mother Carolyn Dennis both revealed they kept the news from the public because they wanted to give their daughter a normal childhood.
Well, it sounds like if Bob Dylan doesn’t get to the wedding – it won’t be because he doesn’t want to!
We’re sure he’ll get together with his daughter at some point afterwards to congratulate her!
Maybe he’ll even perform a tune for them! After all – he is a song and dance man!!!
