On Monday, her father, Bobby Brown, released a statement about losing his daughter. Now, Whitney Houston‘s cousin Dionne Warwick is sharing her sadness over the loss of the late singer’s only child, saying:

“Our family has had its share of sorrow these past few years and it is with a heavy heart that I have to once again say ‘so long’ to a loved one. Bobbi is now sitting in the lap of our Heavenly Father and is now reunited with her beloved mother. She will be missed and I send many thanks for all of the prayers that were being said for her.”

Tragically, BK succumbed to the injuries she sustained after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub back in January.
An unnamed family friend has also opened up about the 22-year-old’s passing, saying:

“Her passing is a blow from which it is hard to recover. No matter how prepared I thought I was, I am that much more devastated.”

The source added:

“Krissi was a young woman whose potential was taken away too soon. A potential that was stymied from seeing the light of day because of circumstances that overshadowed her need to be nurtured. My friend [Houston] has left us, and now, so has a potential part of that legacy. Perhaps being a part of a legacy so great was a burden Krissi was just not equipped to carry … if anyone would be.”

We can’t imagine what Bobbi Kristina’s loved ones must be feeling right now. Our hearts are with everyone affected by this terrible tragedy.
