Happy news surrounded by a sad situation.
On Wednesday, the name of Bobby Brown and wife Alicia Etheredge‘s newborn was revealed.
The duo welcomed their daughter into the world last week while the Every Little Step singer’s daughter Bobbi Kristina remained in hospice care.
The happy couple named their baby girl Bodhi Jameson Rein Brown. LOVES it!
Though this is Whitney Houston‘s ex’s sixth child, it’s only his second child with his second wife. The couple also have a 5-year-old son named Cassius.

It’s said that Bodhi is a Buddhist concept of enlightenment — which is a state of nirvana. The legend gave his daughter the calm name in the midst of what we can only imagine is a very trying time for the family.
In fact, little Bodhi isn’t the only celeb kid that has the Buddhist moniker.
Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green named had their son Bodhi just last year. Also, Carly Simon and James Taylor have a grandson with the same name!
The late Patrick Swayze played the character Bodhi in the hit ’90s movie Point Break.

Unfortunately, despite the happy occasion the My Prerogative performer’s 22-year-old daughter remains in a medically-induced coma after she was found unconscious in a bathtub back in January.
The new dad has spent much of his time at Bobbi’s bedside — and in April, credited his faith for helping him through the tragic ordeal.
He shared:
“You know, rough times are rough times. Hard times are hard times. I don’t know what the hell I’m going through right now, but I’m giving it to God and letting him deal with it.”
How sad!
Hopefully the presence of their newborn will bring the Brown family lots of happiness! Our thoughts are with them during this time.
