Olympic star Bode Miller and his wife, volleyball player Morgan Beck Miller, are experiencing the deepest, most unimaginable heartbreak this year in the weeks after tragically losing their 19-month old daughter Emmy in a drowning accident.
But they are also a couple on a mission, and they hope sharing their story can save other children, and families, from going through such grief like this.

The grieving couple sat down with TODAY host Savannah Guthrie for their first full interview since their daughter’s drowning earlier this summer — and while the full thing will air on the morning show this coming Monday, we came across a touching, heartfelt preview clip (below):

Ugh.
Can’t even imagine the grief, guilt, sadness, and just all the horrible emptiness that comes after losing a child like that.
Bode and Morgan are definitely strong beyond belief as they navigate this tragedy so publicly.
